Throughout the month of November 2025, the Fiji Nursing Council (FNC) team conducted an extensive outreach initiative across health centers around Fiji to facilitate the renewal of nurses’ Annual Practicing Licenses. This nationwide exercise was aimed at improving accessibility and ensuring timely license renewals for nurses serving in various regions of the country.
The FNC team visited health centers in the Northern Division, including Taveuni Island, as well as facilities within the Central and Western Divisions, in addition to other relevant health centers. By taking the renewal process directly to the nurses, the Council sought to reduce logistical challenges, travel costs, and time constraints that nurses would otherwise face if required to collect their licenses from the FNC main office in Suva.
This initiative reflects the Council’s ongoing commitment to supporting the nursing workforce and strengthening healthcare service delivery across Fiji. The on-site renewal process allowed nurses to complete their Annual Practicing License requirements efficiently while continuing to focus on patient care within their respective communities.
The Fiji Nursing Council acknowledges the cooperation and support of all health centres and nursing staff involved in making this outreach program successful. Such initiatives reaffirm FNC’s dedication to responsive, inclusive, and service-oriented regulatory practices for the nursing profession nationwide.
