The Fiji Nursing Council is pleased to formally announce the convening of its 31st Council Meeting, an important annual event dedicated to advancing nursing regulation, professional standards, and healthcare excellence in Fiji.
This milestone gathering will be held on Friday, 13th February 2026, at the Ministry of Health Compound, Suva. The meeting will be officially opened by the Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services, who serves as Chairperson of the Fiji Nursing Council.
The Council warmly invites all Council members, senior nursing executives and leaders, representatives from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services, tertiary nursing education institutions, professional nursing associations, regulatory authorities, development partners, and other key stakeholders to participate in this significant forum.
The one-day meeting will provide a focused platform for constructive dialogue and decision-making on critical nursing issues, including regulatory frameworks, workforce development, continuing professional education, patient safety initiatives, ethical practice standards, quality improvement strategies, and priority actions to strengthen nursing services and health outcomes across the nation.
